Levski Sofia forward Nikolay Dimitrov has long been rumored to be coming to the Emirates.
The Bulgarian club's official website has now reported that the 20 year-old left-winger will be training in London with Arsenal on a week-long trial, on the invitation of Arsene Wenger. Arsenal's official site has yet to post an article regarding the news.
The Bulgarian forward made his debut for Levski Sofia when he was only 16 years old, and has since featured 32 times for the Bulgarian Champions, scoring 9 times.
A talented, young left-footed winger, Dimitrov could be a great asset to an Arsenal squad which has abundant talent, but not a single out-and-out winger. The general consensus amongst Arsenal fans during the summer was that the club needed a left winger, and while the rise of Alex Hleb has seen the clamoring quiet down, many would still be pleased to finally see Wenger investing in a winger if Dimitrov does make it to Arsenal.
The move could also solve the problem of Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Luka Modric who has been heavily linked to Arsenal, but could be the subject of a bidding war between the Gunners and cross-town rivals Chelsea.
