Eduardo and Tomas Rosicky were both on target in their countries ties against Estonia and San Marino respectively, as Arsenal players made a significant contribution to their side's Euro Qualifying efforts.
Rosicky, the Czech captain, headed in for the opener against San Marino, continuing his goalscoring form after a parried shot ended up coming to him. The Czechs went on to win the game 3-0.
Eduardo had a fabulous game for Croatia, scoring both goals in a 2-0 win over Estonia. He scored in style as well, the first goal coming off of an overhead kick, and the second a superb long-range effort after a beautiful pass from Arsenal target Luka Modric.
Other Arsenal players who featured for their national teams today included new signing Lassana Diarra, pacy midfield Alex Hleb, and Robin van Persie. Jens Lehmann also started for his country, Germany, and rewarded Joachim Low's confidence with a clean sheet - although to be fair he wasn't troubled often in goal, being forced into only 3 saves.
Nicklas Bendtner also featured for Denmark as a substitute, but he was unable to break the deadlock in a game against Sweden that ended as a goalless draw.
Most of these players as well as some other Arsenal players are likely to play for their countries again on Wednesday so be sure to watch the midweek internationals!
